This is the part worth understanding: our socks are made from 100% naturally coloured GOTS-certified organic cotton. Naturally coloured cotton grows in shades of cream, tan and soft brown rather than white, which means the finished sock needs no dyeing at all. For a garment that spends all day against skin — and, once babies find their feet, regularly in the mouth — removing the dye step removes an entire category of chemical exposure. The GOTS certification covers the growing and manufacturing process end to end.
Feet are also where cheap socks fail fastest. Synthetic blends trap heat and moisture, which is uncomfortable in an Australian summer and a common cause of irritation. Breathable organic cotton handles warmth far better.
